Communities πŸ‘₯

Spaces built around a topic β€” with their own cards, challenges, rewards and economy.

Joining

Browse the Communities tab and tap Join. Your joining even helps the community: its wallet earns +7 points for every new member. Each community has a feed of its own cards, an About tab with rules, and a member list.

Private communities

Some communities are private: you send a join request and the owner approves it. Until approved, you can't see the community's cards. Owners manage requests in the Pedidos tab.

Creating your own

Tap Create a community in the Communities view: name, category, cover image, description and rules. As the owner you can:

The community wallet β€” the closed economy

Every community has a points wallet that grows and pays out in a closed loop β€” no real money anywhere:

So a lively community β€” new members, people redeeming rewards β€” builds a bigger wallet, which funds bigger challenges, which brings more activity. Owners see the balance in Manage.

Challenges πŸ†

Owners launch time-boxed contests. There are three types:

TypeRanks members by…
LearnMost correct answers on the community's Learn cards.
ContributorMost votes on the community's cards.
ForecasterBest on the community's prediction cards.

The flow: the owner sets a type, title and deadline; the prize is fixed at creation (it scales with the community's tier). A live leaderboard shows the top members while it runs. When it closes, the owner resolves it (1st place is picked from the leaderboard) and pays the prize β€” debited from the wallet, credited to the winner. If the wallet can't cover the prize, the owner tops it up first.

Rewards 🎁 β€” how they work end to end

Rewards let a community turn Insight Points into something real its members want.

  1. The owner lists a reward β€” a discount, a product, a course, a subscription… with a title, a description and a price in points.
  2. A member redeems it β€” if they have enough points. Before it goes through, they see a consent step: to deliver the reward, their name and email are shared with the community owner. Nothing happens until they agree.
  3. Points move β€” the cost leaves the member's balance and lands in the community wallet.
  4. The owner fulfils it β€” redemptions appear in the owner's "Purchases to fulfil" list with the buyer's email, so they can send the discount code / product / access. They tick "Mark handled" once done.
No real payment happens inside AlphaVote. Rewards are delivered by the community owner off-platform; points are the only currency that changes hands here.

Leaderboards

The community leaderboard ranks members by correct answers on that community's Learn cards β€” knowledge, not noise. Challenge tabs have their own live rankings.

Community tiers

Communities level up by member count β€” Bronze (10), Silver (50), Gold (100), Diamond (500). Higher tiers unlock bigger challenge prizes.
