Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using alphavote.app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
- You need a valid email and a unique username; you are responsible for your account's security.
- Minimum age: 16.
- You may delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Points (Insight Points)
- We may adjust balances in cases of abuse, technical error or fraud.
- Community rewards are offered and fulfilled by community owners, who are responsible for delivery; AlphaVote mediates the points exchange but does not guarantee fulfilment.
4. Your content
- Cards, comments, vote reasonings and images you publish remain yours. You grant AlphaVote a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content within the service — this is what allows showing it to other users.
- Aggregated, anonymised vote results (percentages, trends) are service data.
- Do not post: illegal or defamatory content, harassment, spam, deliberate misinformation presented as fact, copyright-infringing material, or third parties' personal data.
5. Communities
Community owners set additional rules, approve members (private communities) and run challenges and rewards; they must comply with these terms. AlphaVote may remove communities or content that violates them.
6. Result integrity
Prohibited: multiple accounts to inflate votes, unauthorised automation, prediction manipulation, and exploiting bugs. Violations may lead to removal of points, content or the account.
7. Paid plans
All features are currently free; the plans page measures interest. When paid plans activate, pricing (including VAT where applicable), renewal and cancellation terms will be presented at the point of subscription, including the EU 14-day withdrawal right where it applies.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
- The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability.
- Opinions, votes and predictions are user content — not financial, medical or legal advice.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlphaVote's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights. Consumer disputes may also be taken to the EU ODR platform or national ADR entities.
11. Changes
Material changes will be announced with reasonable notice in-app or by email.
